From eBook to iBook: Telling Stories Across Media

Emerging digital platforms challenge us to come up with fresh approaches to storytelling. The iPad provides fertile territory for experimentation using tactile engagement; it's an ideal platform for readers/viewers of all ages and interests to go with the story along the pathway each chooses to take. Stories told in iBooks intermingle narrative text with a welcoming mix of visual elements — video, photos and illustrations live alongside interactive maps, graphics and documents. Learn about "transmedia" storytelling — take a look at iBook examples and hear from a journalist who is experimenting with its possibilities.
