Merrill Perlman

Merrill Perlman Consulting
High priestess
New York, N.Y.
Merrill Perlman wears many hats, most of which tend to blow off in stiff winds: teacher (Columbia J-School, Poynter/NewsU, trainer of journalists and muggles in person); editor (Kindle Singles, Rosetta Books, ProPublica); writer (Language Corner for Columbia Journalism Review); friendly-ish face in Central Park in New York (Greeter Guide and tour guide); activist for clear communications (agnostic on the serial comma, unless your refusal to use it makes what you wrote unclear); and bureaucrat (president of the ACES Education Fund). She's loving the variety that her six years of "retirement" have offered since she left The New York Times after 25 years.
