Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn

Journalist
Los Angeles, California
Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn is a Los Angeles-based journalist with deep roots in publishing, covering media and entertainment (television and film, in particular), the convergence of art and culture, and stories of identity and empowerment among women and African Americans. A former Associated Press columnist, her work has also appeared in Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and Essence, among others. Beyond her work in journalism, she is the co-author of "Swirling: How to Date, Mate, and Relate Mixing Race, Culture, and Creed" (Atria Books), and is currently writing and producing her first independent feature film – an interracial, cross-cultural romance – "Lovers In Their Right Mind," with Navid Negahban (Abu Nazir of Showtime’s "Homeland") to produce and star. She is also producing and directing the jazz documentary, "'...but can she play?': Blowin’ the Roof Off Women Horn Players and Jazz" featuring such critically-lauded saxophone and brass players as Tia Fuller, Claire Daly, Kiku Collins and New Orleans' all-female Pinettes Brass Band.
