Michele Weldon is assistant professor emerita at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she taught for 18 years. She is a best-selling author of four nonfiction books, journalist and live storyteller. She has worked on staff as an editor and columnist at several newspapers and magazines and her work over the past 35 years has appeared in hundreds of outlets including New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, CNN, Slate, More, Christian Science Monitor, Chicago Tribune, Pacific Standard, Quartz, Huffington Post, Medium and more. She is a senior leader with The OpEd Project, where she leads the Northwestern Public Voices Fellowship as well as seminars around the country and Europe. Her live stories appear on The Moth and in other outlets.
